Kinsho-ji Temple

Do you want to try Japanese traditional culture?

Kinsho-ji Temple is the place where you can get the best relaxation in Japan! Come and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the corner of rural Japan. Let’s concentrate and reflect your life!

坐禅 – Zazen
“Zazen” is a means of mind control. What you need to do is to correct your posture, close your eyes, and try to let go of your unwanted thoughts. Just relax, don’t think but feel the peace around you. Why don’t you come to Kinsho-ji temple and try this for yourself?

写経 – Shakyo
“Shakyo” is another way of a spiritual mind concentration. It is the monk’s training of transferring words from Japanese Bukkyo-bible. The level of concentration helps you to forget bothering daily life.

Soba Ichi

You can feel Japanese history while you eat soba alongside traditional Japanese food like Tempura. The restaurant is a renovated traditional Japanese house, set in a quiet corner of Sanda.  ​

Kineya

It is a Japanese sweets shop with a history of more than 80 years. They offer various eye-pleasing sweets reflecting the seasons.

Nishimura Seigetsudo

Established in 1916. Their iconic sweet is called Kawara-Monaka that comes in various flavors. All ingredients are made in Sanda without any additives or preservatives. Why not taking one out!​

Kibitopan

It’s a very fashionable bakery in a renovated old Japanese house. All the bread are baked with only natural ingredients. Kinshoji-temple is close by and other charming parks are in a walking distance.​

Miwa shrine

There are many good spots for you to take pictures around the shrine. Especially,  the view from the top of is magnificent!​

Mukogawa River bank

In the springtime, there is a promenade of many cherry blossoms along the River Muko. Why don’t you hire a bike from the Tourist Information Centre and ride along the river bank? They are electronically assisted and easy to rideI The air of countryside will surely refresh you!​
